the Ministry of Education Round Table

The Cross-Sector Round-Table of the Ministry of Education, which began operations in 2013, is the basis for cross-sector dialog on a range of issues of mutual interest. This dialog is characterized by gathering representatives from the three sectors: the public, the business and civil society, into a joint and complex process.

The great advantage of the round-table stems from the characteristics of each sector and their unique contribution. Sheatufim was chosen to assist in operating the round-table since its establishment.

The round-table is part of a comprehensive process led by the Ministry of Education and its partners – representatives from the field of education, representatives of the social and business sectors, parents’ representatives and representatives from institutions of higher learning.

Among the participative processes held by the Ministry of Education's round-table with the assistance of the Sheatufim organization:

• Consultation on the transition of the middle schools to self-management (2018)
• Leading a cross-sector team to promote health in the education system (2016)
• Operating a cross-sector team to encourage entrepreneurial culture in the education system (2015-2016)
• Leading a cross-sector team to arrange external programs in the education system (2013-2015)
• Arranging coordination mechanisms between the Ministry and civil society in routine and emergency situations (2015)
