Hamerhav is a civil organization initiated by CEOs and activists from the Ethiopian community in Israel, who believe that genuine cooperation, will enhance their ability to promote significant impact on the Ethiopian community and Israeli society, and will help them to achieve goals which would be unattainable without cooperation.
In April 2014, Sheatufim was chosen to provide professional support to Hamerhav in the process of formulating the community’s vision. For more information see the organization’s website: www.Hamerhav.com.
To be an initiating and influential force on issues pertaining to the future of the Ethiopian community in Israel.
Formulating a vision document for the Ethiopian Community in Israel with the participation of activists, public leaders and community organizations. Hamerhav works to promote dialogue among all organizations in the social field in order to coordinate, build consensus and promote partnerships that, together, will advance the community to overcome the challenges it faces.
A critical stage in the formulation of the vision was to involve the community extensively through a range of methodologies (group sessions, one-on-one meetings, online questionnaires, etc.).
At the end of this process, the community leadership presented an agreed vision, which serves as the "beacon" towards which the community wishes to advance in the coming years, and constitutes a platform for stakeholders and policymakers for making decisions pertaining to the future of the community.

• The content component: organizing existing knowledge and making it accessible, or promoting the creation of new knowledge; managing complex discourse and providing tools for decision making in large groups.
• The technical component: coordinating meetings; recording the process and managing the knowledge; production – preparing infrastructures and organizing meetings for Hamerhav.
